Chris Shaw Licensed as Lay Reader

On Wednesday 28th October, at a service attended by members of both congregations in the linked charge of St James the Less Penicuik and St Mungo West Linton, Bishop John of Edinburgh licenced Mrs Chris Shaw as a Lay Reader for both congregations and the wider Diocese. Due to the current COID-19 related restrictions both Bishop John and Janet McKinnell (Diocesan Warden of Lay Readers) attended via Zoom, on-line.

Chris moved to West Linton in 2019, having previously been a Lay reader in Ripon in North Yorkshire.
