Choir
What: Music is important at St James the Less to support worship, to offer praise to God and to reach out to others in Penicuik of all and no denominations. Our choir has a long tradition of choral music which has evolved to become inclusive of modern musical styles. Any service of worship is likely to include both traditional and new music with combinations of organ, piano, guitar or a capella. Our choir mainly sings at our 10.30 service on a Sunday morning, in traditional SATB voice parts. For special concerts and services the choir practice larger pieces and include folk songs in their repertoire. All ages are welcome.
When: Every Thursday evening at 7.00 pm to prepare music for the following Sunday and to prepare music for throughout the Church year. We meet at 10.15am ahead of our Sunday morning services
Where: St James the Less church.
